It’s been a big 12 months, and never did I think at the start of the year I’d be sitting here taking stock in the way that I am. I couldn’t imagine that I’d be a year post-graduation still without a degree related job, I didn’t think I’d still be at my hospitality job of 6 years, truthfully I didn’t envisage myself as single and I thought I’d be toasting out 2017 in a much more joyful way. Instead it’s been a hard year and I’m still a bit shellshocked by it all.
It’s been an emotionally and mentally difficult year. I won’t lie, applying for degree related jobs week in and week out and not securing any of them is tough. Right at this moment I’m awaiting a call about a job I interviewed for a two weeks ago and I have been in a heightened state of awareness and stress for the last 10 days. I’ve currently got a tension headache and I’ve just doused myself in Past-Tense and Peppermint oils from doTERRA, not for any spiritual awakening or because I think it will align my chakras but because they work better than Panadol.
I didn’t really think I’d be the type of person to get “cosmetic enhancement” but for the past 12 or so months I’ve been thinking about getting my lips done. I like my natural lips but they aren’t really that full, they’re just a bit meh, and I’ve always found I overline them to make them appear bigger. So last week (Halloween to be exact) I finally bit the bullet and booked in to get lip fillers.
Disclaimer: I’m going to get real graphic in this post, I want to give a honest review and when it comes to periods and menstrual cups the only way to be honest is to get very TMI. So if you’re squeamish, know me personally and don’t want to read about my vagina or are male I’d recommend clicking away now. Ok so now that’s sorted let’s get to it.
Ok it’s March and I’m only just getting around to doing a Favourites post – we’ll count this as my first quarter favourites and then maybe go back to monthly from here on out. I haven’t really been buying that many new makeup things lately but out of what new things I have bought most of them have quickly become part of my everyday routine.
